Hello again

Post: # 43376Post Chickpea »

I'm not new, but I've been gone so long there's probably a bunch of new people who don't know who I am.

I'm Chickpea aka Mel and I've been helping my dad pack up all the posessions in his huge 6-bedroomed house in Liverpool so he can sell it and live permanently in his other home in Ireland. We're all done now so I can spend a bit more time in my favourite forums again.

By the way, thanks for the book I won. It's a really good book.

So, what's happened since I was here last?

Oh, y'know; the usual. Andy and Dave have become millionaires, having sold out to Tescos, who now run this site for 'image enhancement' purposes. Apparently they are buying a huge, six bed house up north somewhere. And I'm obliged to tell you how happy I've been feeling since trying Tescos' baked beans, now available in economy six-packs.

Meantime, Boots and Nev have got together and patented the 'Australian Genome', which they hope to be able to cash in on by selling to cricketers worldwide. Well, UK-wide, anyway.

Also, global warming has been reversed due to Martin having sold so many wind turbines he finally ran out of hot air.

Shirlz, Shiney and a few others have all knitted and sewn a big hessian bag to put all the nuclear waste in, so there is no longer any environmental problem with nuclear power stations.

Oh, and world peace broke out, too, but only lasted for just under three seconds. But hey - it's a start.

How are you?
Stew

Well it sounds like you're all just as bonkers as you were before I left. It's good to know there are still some things you can count on.

Thanks for trying to email me, shirlz. Dunno why they should bounce. I'm:

All the flipping spam seems to get through OK to that address, so actual email from people I know and like should be able to get through too.
