still really mild and even hot here some days. certainly no need for a coat. some of my plants are flowering again too. Does make me wonder what is going on though and if the animals and plants carry on and it's as if winter has past what will happen if it suddendly hits and how will next year go? In june will be be wearing scarves and how will we know when to plant what and animals figure out about storing food and breeding and such?
Certainly not grumbling that its not cold
but it does provoke some thoughts
Certainly not grumbling that its not cold

Someone told me we follow the northeren hemisphere trends for seasons - we have just had our second-hottest October day on record, and our winter (apart from 3 weeks of very hard frosts) had been almost non-existant. No rain either - I can't remember it being so dry. I must admit I look forward to a long hot summer, but I'm sure our indigenous plants, insects, birds etc wouldn't agree...
