Hiya

Post: # 33211Post bwaymark »

As I am newish to this site I thought I'd say hello. There are some familiar faces from other sites who know me, but those that don't, I am Ben and smallholder-wannabe who won't accept that he can't afford to be a smallholder!

I have very few opinions about most things, especially politics, and usually keep all my opinions to myself. I rarely ask questions. I live a stable and booring life and spend most of my time doing house work. Cleanliness is very important to me. Especially clean well pressed clothing. I can sing in key. I play the guitar and mandolin very well. My wife thinks I am gifted musically, especially when I sing. My children are lovely and have never caused me greif. My car, like most things in my life, is mechanically sound. The above paragraph is entirely true. There is a word of it that isn't true. Oh ya, I'm also skinny and full of muscles.

Nope, not in the bus anymore... we are now in a real brick-and-mortar house (well, waddle and daub house...). Bought a lovely house in Canadia that we are hoping to move into in another five years, but are staying and renting in Devon until the older ones finish their secondary school

I'm guessing that Canadia is Canada, unless it's a part of Devon I haven't heard of! Whereabouts? Gosh, I think half of the ACountrylife forum will be living in Canada soon!

Canadia is indeed Canada.... not in Devon :-)

The house is on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia.... lovely spot, mostly trees and shoreline..... barely any shops.... I love it! Can't wait until I can move there!!!!!!

If rural prices remain the same, I reckon most people looking for rural land will end up in Canada.... even France is too expensive for us now....

I do have an iron... a really flash one, in perfect condition (in fact, still in its original box).... years ago my bos said I looked to scruffy so I decided it was time to turn over a new leaf, become a reformed character, and no longer be the 'scruffy guy at work'.

So I bought an iron, then decided to quit my job instead :-)
