Melons!

My Charentais melons have ripened!
I can't believe it - I thought the plants were dying because I had to prune them hard to get through them to water them, and I have lots of dinky little tennis ball sized melons (and some bigger ones up to 3 x tennis ball size) - which are still small compared to commercially grown ones.
However they started to turn yellow and fall off the plants - and they are ripe inside!
Now what do I do with them all?
Can you do anything with them to preserve them apart from turn them into jam (which I really don't want to do having already got about 4 years worth of jams and jellies
)?
We are eating them, but we've also got millions of plums and pears to eat too! Help!
Where did that D I N K emoticon come from?
