Greetings, For the past 3-4 years some from survivalist web sites have been meeting twice a year. This year I opened the invitation list to anyone interested-but still by invitation. We will be covering emergency repairs to keep you car going in an emergency/preventive maintenance/ and an emergency kit for the trunk(and contents). Fri PM and Sat AM we will use Dutch Ovens for a cooking competition. A scavaging class(wild foods) Sat AM and in the evening a BBQ/Pig picking(will have veggies for others)(steamed of course). Sat evening is a static display of hand tools(new and antique), vests, masks,etc. There is a lake w/canoes and a nature trail. Ropes course for the younger at heart and large boulders for the reflective. Sunday morn is Chapel w/ prayers for traveling mercies. It is planned for the weekend of 13 Oct, 06

If anyone is near to North Carolina then let me know and plan to attend-we usually keep the price down to under $12 per day-good bargain in anybodies book. Cabins and plenty of tent space available-bath houses with HOT water. Rec hall/dining hall/kitchen/covered sheds all make it a good place to meet even in inclement weather. Hope to see some of you "critters" there--will not do you like "Crocodile Dundee" and make you eat anything crawling-lol,wc

Hi Gideon - the lovely lady there is Margo from the Good Life TV series - I think it was called Good Neighbours in the US. It's sort of a theme here, the more you post you will work your way up through the different characters from the TV series - Margo was the least self sufficient of the characters!
