New Nember - Hi!

Post: # 30823Post deniseduck »

Hello everyone,
I'm a new member from Barnsley, South Yorkshire. At the moment I have a smallish garden, no allotment, but I try to grow a few things to eat. I have herbs, some potatoes in tubs, and four courgette plants which are going a bit mad at the moment - I keep finding mini-marrows hiding under the leaves which I'm sure weren't there the day before. So today I made a Courgette and Basil Flan (from your recipe section) which went down very well, and also a batch of courgette soup which I have frozen for later on. Only a couple of zeppelin size courgettes and half a dozen normal size ones to go! Oh, and I also have half a dozen Gardeners' Delight Tomato plants, three in a little lean-to greenhouse and three outside, which are producing quite well and four pepper plants which have some peppers on, but aren't looking so good - dark blotchy bits on leaves make them look a bit unhappy, so I'll have to see how they go.

I think the courgette problem is one that is shared by many of us here.
