Yet more money wasted

There are alternative technologies that can alleviate the pressure on our dwindling gas/oil resources and people should just learn to reduce their demands for energy.

The countryside will apparently be back to normal within a year - surely that can't be the case. OK the brown line of the pipeline will be covered over again but surely the pollutants from the machinery etc will take longer to disappear.
