Recipes for whitecurrants, anyone?

Post: # 27754Post multiveg »

Got whitecurrants nearly ripe. Was wondering what to do with them - only so many I can eat raw. I made a redcurrant jelly (Delia's recipe?)- would this work for white currants?

Yeah, just adapt red/blackcurrant recipes. It'll be fine.

I've got a gallon on the go, courtesy of a frin=end's currants she didn;t want, and also 4 lbs jam. Wine smells and looks good, ready for racking off alreayd.

Love that site,dtc. 8)

I used Delia's redcurrant jelly recipe available http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/redc ... 24,RC.html The stuff stuck to underside of sieve tasted nice as a "jam" on toast. 8)
