Have alook at this, I met Rob at the Ecoshow a few weekends ago and went over to his house today for a yarn. Nice guy! Has done lots of stuff on the energy generation side and with water storage but does not grow much of his own food.

Wow Nev, That was perfect timing...
The front extension is nearly complete, and the kitchen extension is already happening in my head..
That info on the fridge and lighting was priceless! I have a tendency to 'fit' things and at present my fridge is very much wedged neatly on both sides and all circulation is zilch.
So have corrected for that in the renovation plans.
I also have those really dumb spotlight things mounted in the roof! They are hard to clean, as fragile as buggery to adjust, and just plain annoying as they both point the same way and leave huge gaps behind them. Would love to replace them, but 'leckies' are like hens teeth out here. No idea how or when it might happen, but heaven help the poor leckie that next bumps into me, cos I am making a list!
