You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

Salsa

Post: # 264261Post Mustardseedmama »

Finally collected enough tomatoes to make a double batch of Salsa yesterday. I made it mild, (although I prefer it hotter) so my friends would eat it too.

I got four quarts and six pints--Yum!

I'm jealous! Our tomatoes have blight. I have two plants in the conservatory so might get a handful off them. Never going to grow them outside again. pbf.

ours are at about the same stage as Susie's. I just hope we get some red ones as the weather over the last few days hasn't been conducive to ripening. :(

Too darn hot here and they are scorching, but I can't complain too much as I've already made 60 jars of passata and a few jars of concentrated tomato puree.

We need to start picking the tomatoes to make passata, they're all starting to ripen now.
I've been picking the cherry tomatoes this week. They're delicious, really sweet and flaversome, and I can't normally eat raw tomatoes, but these ones are lovley :)
