Re: Portugal Smallholding for Sale
Well it looks lovely.
It is amazingly attractive, and growing your own Oranges and Olives, wow briliant.
It does seem rather well priced.
What drew you to Portugal in the first place, and why are you now leaving, out of interest really, and what appeals about the Czech Rep?
What services come into the property? Do you get Sky TV and Broadband, hot and cold running electric and gas?
Best of luck with the Sale.

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.

Hello again.
Thanks for the lovely comments.
Yes it has mains services, water (and a well)and electrciity, although the electrcity is basic as we always planned a wind turbine and solar panels..
We use water from the well for irrigation and suchlike.
We dont have cable tv etc its not our kind of thing, I use a dongle for my internet which is very efficient...
We are moving to Czech as my partner rick is a softball coach and most of his work nowadays is in Germany Czech and central europe as a whole.. plus this place has become a tad too much work for me now..
hope thats answers everyones questions...
anything else , just ask.. thanks for looking
oh and the cottage rentals bring in an average of 5-6,000 euros per year

I'm tempted, I'll have to work hard on convincing the other half! I'm looking for ways of being mortgage free! It looks like such a lovely place, I love the setting. Just out of interest do you have an unlimited supply of water? Do you have enough water during the summer months? just asking because we have to buy in extra water in July and August.

Hi.
Yes we always have plenty of water. Its strange really as we always thought of Portugal as being short of water, but in this area, pretty much cntral of the central area... if that makes any sense... during autumn and winter we get plenty of rain... enough so that the municipality waters the town flowers and parks during the miday heat... stupid!
We have a good well, mains water which we pay for, plus a municipal tap which all you can carry away is free as long as you dont put a hose on...
