Various seeds and nuts are a large portion of my diet. Experimentation has convinced me that these products are more palatable and enjoyable cooked. The seeds are beat to a mash in the blender, then steam cooked in a sort of double boiler for about an hour. The double boiler prevents the product from sticking to the cooking pot. Placed directly over a flame the product sticks to the pot. I eat the product as inclined, and often as a cereal for breakfast. It is stored in the refrigerator for use up to about ten days. It could be pressure canned for long term storage at room temperature.
