Hello

Post: # 260096Post Lawrence »

Hi.
My name is Lawrence and my ambition is probably the same as yours, which is to become as self sufficient as I can.
I have bought a house in Spain mainly because of the climate, and I hope to move over as soon as I can.
The house I have bought is an old Flour mill which apparently was closed because an earthquake changed the flow of the spring which turned the millstone.
There is still natural water flowing, but not enough to drive the mill.
It is off the grid, and I have no mains water or sewage, but I view that as an opportunity rather than a problem.
I have around 1500 square metres and I have an option on a further 2500 square metres of land adjoining.

I am hoping that it is enough for a family of three.

Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

It is, I put a photo on google earth. if you look for Ramil Bajo, you can see it.
There is a lot of work to do before we can live there but it will be worth it. (I hope)
