Another personal apology

Post: # 255329Post MKG »

I am truly sorry if, elsewhere on this forum, I appear to be attacking one particular member. This is not at all within the philosophy of Ish - I realise this. But I have this abiding fondness for Ish and feel obliged to interfere with attempts to attack its basis. This may be presumptious of me, but it is my belief, based upon meeting this member elswhere on the net, that his aims in no way accord with those of Ish.

Some of you, hopefully, will not have the foggiest notion what I am talking about. For those who have, all I can say is that I have to reserve the right to be vitriolic in defending a standpoint in which I truly believe - and therefore must be equally vitriolic in my stance as far as Ish is concerned.

If you believe this is wrong then all I can do, as I've said, is apologise. I hope that's enough.

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.

I don't think you are attacking anyone, In fact you are defending Ish and the people on it who want to help each other in pursuit of self suffciency. I haven't been on the site very long but I have been impressed greatly by the friendliness and helpfulness of everyone. Only one posting has concerned me and that is one which keeps up a continous rant about things which are well beyond the control of most people. You haven't done anything wrong at all.
Just because you see two eyes shining in the jungle at night, do not think that the worse thing that could happen is that you are about to be attacked by a tiger. It could be two one-eyed tigers.

You carry on, MKG. You're only saying what some of us would like to say if only we had the time and your eloquence.

..or that might just be me!

Anyway. No need to apologise.

Oh dear! Red rags and bulls springs to mind as I HAD to go and research what you were talking about (being totally oblivious to the posts before).

I must say I have to agree with you though. And apologies probably aren't required...

I thought that it was just a healthy exchange of views. Well it would be up here. Or maybe it's just the allotment holders I meet on Saturdays who have healthy exchanges of views like that on Saturday mornings and then are all best mates next day when committee appears.

Mike you are one of the people who I watch out for in looking at what has been posted. I respect your knowledge and your forthright approach. I stand by my support of "Flower Hercules" what a kind and sensitive response however I do not doubt the old adage. There are more ways of killing a cat than stuffing it's arse with cream
p.s. you did not respond to my poncey bottle of wine - as per your recipe :hugish:

He's one of those slow spammers that aren't spamming in the traditional way but need a good poke up the backside every now and then!

MKG - I didn't find you bullying or mean in any way. You made valid points that the person in question chose to ignore (let's face it, he won't even read this post...doesn't read anything that doesn't agree with him!). So Go ahead. I was quite enjoying it!
