Pekin Bantams When do they lay?

Post: # 253542Post matowakan »

I have just acquired 6 female Pekin Bantams which are about 5-6 months old and was wondering when they will start laying. I think I am correct in saying that it may be too early in the year. Although used to keeping chooks I have not had this breed before. Any ideas.?

I've had them in the past and they are lovely little creatures. I seem to remember that they came into lay at around the 6 month mark so shouldn't be long now. I suspect the weather is delaying them at the moment.
