Stainless Steel Vegetable Steamer

This device prevents water from touching the product being cooked, basically steaming. They are available in Walmart and often in supermarkets. With the center lifting device removed, the steamer makes a good insert for pressure cookers.The one that I have is all metal including the feet, which is a must, since the plastic will melt if the pot goes dry, and the temperature increases.

And they last for ages and ages. Well they must do because we've had ours since 1979.
