We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.
Hi all, and hello from sunny Peckham in SE Lodon.
I live in a house with a tiny garden and do try to grow stuff in it (hoping to get hope and encouragement here!) and I'm very involved in my local school where we have chickens and have a brilliant head cook who take produce we grow with the kids. We also have raised beds on our estate and I'm hoping to get a mini urban orchard going next year. So I'm def more 'ish' than 'self' but I'm interested in finding out new things and challenging some of the old habits I'm in. I always used to think I was pretty green but I'm not sure I am after reading lots of the inspirational threads on here
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Welcome to Ish , used to live down the road from you down at the Oval. You will find the folk on Ish, are most knowledgeable, especially on Wine-making, so much so, that after following MKGs course on Wine-making I am now a member of the AA, and the OH, who has tried many of the recipes from ISH members is now in the Pudding Club and she is over seventy.

I can't do great things, so I do little things with love.
Ooohh nice! I remember my mums nettle wine as a kid. I'm amazed how much free food you can get in london- got some lovely damson plums and apples this year. I work as a childminder and got the kids collecting pea sticks from our little local park from the recent storm. They loved it!! Happy days x x
