New to the site.
Love any self sufficient ideas to save time, money, live healthier, and survive in hard times.
have to run around and read a ton of threads now :)

EDITED because I should say something about ME:

We were income farming. real jobs plus farming. 160 acres. 125 hogs for meat sales, 400 chickens for egg sales, produce and hay sales all at farmer markets on weekends. 120 Boer goats for meat kids plus I make goat milk soaps. Raised Spotted Saddle horses for many years.

getting older and having done that for 15 years we are tired. So we closed the farm income biz and are now taking life a little slower. But every bit of SS info. helps. And I love to chat farming and more.

Great hubby, great 6 yr old daughter and now only one little Papillion dog for a pet inside.

Life changed alot. Everything changes in life. I try to go with the flow! :)

I there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Hi Karen, I'm very interested to hear more about goat's milk soaps. A neighbour mentioned them to me last week, she knows someone who makes them. I'd be interested to hear all about how you make them......
