Spending too much time on here??

Post: # 24785Post chadspad »

Hi all,
I have spent so much time on this wonderful site lately, reading just about every post, that last night I had a dream that featured Shiney - I am so used to seeing her photo on all the threads now lol - we were picking round courgettes together in my garden  how pukka is that?

Oh dear! I'm sure I spend far too much time here - but I've not started dreaming about it yet...

Hiya,
My aunt has grown the round ones - I find the skin too thick. Apparantley they are better for ratatouille cos theyre firmer.
Surely they are genetically modified?

Can't you get them in Scotland? They are common in summer in France in the shops - I grow 'Rond de Nice' - they are a grey/green colour, and yellow ones too. Far superior to ordinary courgettes!!

Chadspad - you've been bitten by the SS bug!!

I spend way too much time on here - its probably the best site I've ever found.

However, I think I am going to completely unplug myself from forums for a few weeks and get on with some work out there. Easy to fall into internet trap when you have a young baby and it seems to spend all the time feeding. Now he's a bit older, I have no excuse!

No, can't say I have found them tough, either the ones from the supermarket or the ones I grew! Just think they are firmer overall and just 'seem' nicer! (Maybe it's novelty value?) The yellow ones taste a bit sweeter, I think.

we bought back a round courgette last time we were in France, for novelty value.I can't recall it tasting any different. - We left the wrapped up Cherval brains though as it was not a novelty I was too bothered about, or would know how to cook.

I think you should all plant a tree to compensate for the amount of time spent on here

I think you are missing the point -we don't have time to plant trees, because we spend too much time on here!!!

Ah no, we don't. If we didn't spend so much time on SSish, we wouldn't know how to plant trees.
