Hi just thought id say hello im me i like gardening and grow a lot of my own Fruit and veg always looking for new ideas of what to do with the surpless (especially blackberries we have a 4-5 acre piece of land behind us covered in them) into making my own wine and beers but as yet only made beer from kits and blackberry wine theres a lot of them, also like mushrooms and herbs from the wild but still not sure which ones are what.
i found this site by accident looking for elderflower recipes but have now spent hours reading all the bits and pieces theres a lot of usfull stuff on hear like the tittle that sums up my thoughts as well would love to buy a river cottage and go full hog but is just a dream for now.
anyway have a few unusuall recipes i will be posting soon hope they are of some use to people the first is ginger and lemon wine.

Hello and welcome to the forum..

Wow... looking forward to the recipes - ginger and lemon wine sounds scrummy!!!!

We've not got too much fruit growing in our garden - only really got apple trees at the moment.. but hopefully that will change. That said, there are wild blaeberries to collect later in the year, and blackberries and rasps too... food for free - best ever!!

Haven't found ANY elderflower around here though, rather disappointed about that.
