Hot

Post: # 236532Post MKG »

Phew!!!!! It's bloody hot!.

Just off to a barbie at my sister's - my OLDER sister, I may add, who has just today completed a Race For Life run. She's totally bonkers - in this heat, she has to be.

My god - it really is hot ........

Melt.

Not in Whitby. Must be the north east coast. Lots of little clouds in the sky, which IS blue though. Not hot here by any means, although you would never think so by looking at the acres of exposed pimply white flesh I just saw when I walked into town...

Back to watering a drooping garden again. It's not fun when the temp jumps up 10 degrees overnight really and then it's set to drop back down again tomorrow - hardly gives you time to get used to it!

We're the same here Mrs H... *sigh*

We haven't had much blue sky since April.... but at least the rain has slowed down a bit (if not actually stopped)

Phewww, had to whitewash the greenhouse today, it was too hot to stand in there earlier.

Call me ungrateful, but this is way too hot. I found myself hiding inside because when I get hot I get grumpy...

At the moment sat with a nice cold beer," well the forth ish cold beer since 2 o'clock " and it is 39c. Glad I gave the tunnel a good soaking last night.

Well there goes summer. Quite warm yesterday (once the mist had burnt off), raining today.

Not long now to the rainy season - when do the kids break up for summer?

33 degrees yesterday, but boy, did we pay for it this afternoon....... a 3 hour thunderstorm accompanied by the heaviest rain i have seen in years..... lids being lifted off the rain butts 'cos the over-flow pipes could'nt cope....... still, don't need to water the veg patch for a day or two
it's either one or the other, or neither of the two.
