Twitter won't recognise the underscore...which is weird!

With all due apologies to our Twitter users, your (very correct) use of the word "whom" would send Twitter into a spin, MMM. I do have a Twitter account, but after a few ventures into the "bright new world", I decided I could happily live without it. Same for Facebook, really - I still don't actually understand what it's for. But both Twitter and Facebook have already affected the world in rather large ways, so what do I know? Even so, as a dyed in the wool pedant, I think I'll stick to my fogeyish defence of standard English communication.

So there!!!

perhaps you could give the link Annpan - so people can go straight there and see what is being said?
oh here it is http://twitter.com/#!/SS_ish

when ss-ish tweets.. presumably this is the mod team speaking..? cos it reads like one person ~(Ann?) - I'm guessing the entire forum is not planting sprouts today...

presumably announcements etc will still happen here on the forum...? would it not be better to be used to announce things to do with SSish? you know.. new book out.. competition.. we need more recipes - etc

*goes to sit with the other non twitters*

Of course all announcements will always be on the forum and website.... twitter (much like the facebook and flickr groups) is just an aside.... a way to get more people involved, a way to promote and to chat with a wider audience.

It does say in the profile that the feed is 'from the mod team behind the forum' the intention is that there will be a selection of posts and links back to the forum and main website.

Twitter works better if one is taking part in conversations, rather than just incessant linking back to a website, which is why I mentioned about planting sprouts, and it being a frosty night.... just trying to get folks chatting.

I'm sorry the search wasn't working, it just worked for me (using _ )Thanks for putting up the link Red... there will be a 'follow us on twitter' button appearing on a side bar at some point too.

and yes, I am @_snowdrops_ over there
