Welcome Pasty man- your name made me remember an incident at Tintagel, a harassed mum and screaming unhappy offspring being dragged up the steps....heard shouting
"If yoou don't behave yoou wont be gettin your pasty" in broad Cornish accent, we found it funny, you probably had to be there.......any way welcome Pasty Man

kind thoughts
Deb

(I think so Deb! )

G'Day Pastyman,

Do you pronounce that with a long or a short "a"?

Welcome to the site anyway!

Short 'a' Nev, like in northern 'bath'. I say southern 'barth'. But we southerners don't say 'parsty'.

I could have said pronounce like pasta but remembered a Kiwi friend calling it 'parsta'.

Anyway, hello Pastyman and welcome to the site!

lived near you on a boat just after I got hitched - had her moored at Gweek creek - smashing part - lovely and warm, even in winter!

Hiya Pastyman,

Your name brings memories of the wonderful pasties I get from the farmers market. Not remotely Cornish, but very tasty.

Damn it, hungry again.

Anyhow, welcome.

Welcome, Pastyman

Your garden sounds great. *Blush* this is the first year we've tried potatoes - no room in the garden so we put them into a couple of old (leaking) black bins and they are doing well. Think they should be ready at the start of July.

regards

Sharon

Welcome Pasty Man!

We are very fortunate to have a Cornish Pasty Man in Trowbridge (Millie have you had a pie from there? ~ he's quite charming!) who sells pretty good pastys of all kinds including the original type too. He is proud to have his black flag with a white cross in it on his counter.

Here's to your first spuds!
