Mojo Sauce

Post: # 22217Post allthecees »

Thought forum members would like to try this recipe that I found whilst trawling the internet. I made it on Monday and thought it was very moreish. This sauce (which is more like a salad dressing) is delicious served over new potatoes or a firm fish such as a tuna steak. It is tangy and has quite a kick to it.

1/2 cup red wine vinegar
2 tbsps olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tsp finely chopped fresh parsley
3/4 tsp paprika
3/4 tsp cumin seeds toasted and crushed
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/8 tsp crushed chilli flakes (or less)

Whisk the oil and vinegar together. Add all the other ingredients and whisk again. It is now ready to use.

That does sound nice. Now I just have to wait for my parsley seedlings to grow first! Maybe coriander would be nice as a substitute.
