Nothing changed overnight - this morning, we still drive too much and import too much - but at least we are committed to trying to do something about that. The big initiative right now is local food production. We really ought to be mostly self-sufficient in food, given our climate.

Yesterday, my community officially became a Transition Island!

I just bought the trasition handbook and am looking at my local area in a whole new way too!
