Making & Fitting Insulating External Shutters

Post: # 215987Post MandyWB »

We are thinking of fitting home-made external shutters to help insulate an existing pre-fab building that we use for an office and music room. Does anyone have any good links or information about the insulating performance and any pitfalls of various types of DIY shutters? Thanks

Being on the outside you are probably not going to have much choice but timber shutters will be pretty good, the more airtight you can make them the better. Insulated curtains on the inside could also help.
