Hi

Post: # 215840Post diversal »

Hi

Hope this is the right place to ask a question. Something has been digging up my carrots and parsnips in my allotment and eating them. :( Think its some sort of rodent. It doesn't eat the leaves, just the roots. Any suggestions? It leaves chopped up bits of carrot and parsnip all over the place.
Thanks.

Hi diversal - I moved your post to it's own thread. You posted in an old thread, so now other folks will see it.

Welcome to Ish

I can't answer your question - although someone will I'm sure.

Welcome to ISH :flower:

It has me stumped, I'm afraid. :dontknow: I was going to suggest moles, but you don't have them over there, so that theory goes into to the bin!

My only other thought was children, if your lotty is near a park or houses.

Sounds like it could be a rabbit (easily sorted, early morning spying session). On the other hand,if it's happening in the night, could be a badger,--- bit harder to get rid off.
