We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.
I live in Wales which means we have rather wet summers so growing crops can be a very hit and miss affair, but I still love doing it. Unfortunately I broke my foot a few weeks ago so harvesting has been a nightmare and I've lost quite a lot of stuff, and instead of courgettes I have gigantic marrows
Hello and welcome.
I hope the foot gets better soon. And I hope you love stuffed marrows... But there are lots of recipes here somewhere to give you a few other ideas of what to do with the marrows.
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Hi and welcome! I feel for you, I broke my foot one year in August and all I could do was watch my fruit rot and veg go over or to seed, cos my poor husband couldn't cope with doing everything here, as I couldn't do anything much at all. It's the worst time of the year to injure yourself and so frustrating!
Oh widdershins, poor you .
Frustration is a terrible thing, not being able to do stuff in the garden .
You could always get your OH to make marrow wine........one way of being happy!
Get mended soon and take care.
Hi there and welcome to Ish. ...the recipes recently were for overgrown courgettes, so search that rather than marrows!!
You didnt break your foot by dropping a marrow on it did you??? Hope its all better soon
