I finally got...

Post: # 19964Post shiney »

a FREE greenhouse from freecycle. Am I happy or am I happy???

Only trouble is it's 8 x 6 and is now erected on our patio as it's the only place it could really go.

I have everything ready to fill it, just need the glass putting in and we are away!

The OM is out there right this minute sorting out the glass. He was moaning earlier saying it was too big for our garden, but I have told him that we have so much we can grow in it and what else would we do with a patio?!!!

AND, if it's that big, you can sit in it when it's raining! :flower:

I have a deck chair ready Ina!!

It's spacious and I may just make it into a conservatory. It's almost touching the house.

It's now dark and the OM is STILL out there sorting it out. What an angel eh?

If the clouds weren't so low that they almost touch the roof, it would still be quite light out there! That's the good thing about Scottish "summers"...

Your OH obviously sees the advantages of having a greenhouse / conservatory. Means you can sit our there even if it's not exactly subtropical temperatures. Maybe I should get myuself one, too - but where to put it???

It does take up quite a bit of space in my small garden but I am sure it will be worth it for the stuff we will be able to grow in it.

We've had to put it away from the fence as well, as we have naughty kids who will undoubtedly throw stones at it.
