Quick hello before picking my Elderflowers!
I popped onto this website to get your recipe for Elderflower wine, I used it last year and made such a good wine that not only did we drink it with our christmas pudding I even gave some to friends! While looking for some contact details to say how good I thought the recipe was I came across this forum.
So Hello, sorry about the ramble, I'm very much looking forward to having a good read. But before I do that I'm off to pick some elderflowers before it rains!

Thank you for your kind welcomes!
I was lucky enough to move into a house two years ago with a lovely Elder (albeit a very small garden), the first lot of flowers are now infusing. I never cease to get excited about this no matter how many years I've been making champagne, cordial etc. the recipes on this site have had the best results.

Mine are out in east Wilts
never having made wine or cordial I wouldn't know where to start, and have a feeling that space might be needed, ah well the birds will enjoy the berries.
The Elder tree 'arrived' just after we did, certainly wasn't in evidence when we first bought the house, but then it may have been hiding in the knee-high grass and weeds.

Hi and welcome.
I was checking mine yesterday and I think it's going to be another day or so yet before the flowers are out. Odd thing is that looking out of the upstairs window, I can see that the back of the same bush, which faces my neighbour's garden, is fully out

welcome - hope you enjoy the site, we've only recently joined and round it quite useful for advice - we're off to wales for two weeks on saturday and whilst this is great I'm a bit worried the elderflowers will be all gone by the time we get back - not to even mention our about to ripen strawberries

Hi
I'm jealous of your elderflowers - I planted a wee elderflower a couple of years ago and its only just starting to get established - I can't wait

Re: Quick hello before picking my Elderflowers!
Hello there, I'm off for my elderflowers tomorrow.
I wonder if there
will be enough heads left for the berries in the autumn with so many of us out picking the flowers.
I wonder if there
