Soil fungus ?

Post: # 197328Post sarahkeast »

Does anyone have any suggestions for identifying a weird fungus that has started growing in one of my raised beds ?

It is light milky coffee colour and forms into cups/bowls with a small opening. Clumps are forming, each 'cup' is about 3-5cm across. Should I be concerned ? They are around my pea/mange toutes. What do I do with them ? remove/leave, compost/feed to chooks/take to the dump ?

Any sites that would help to identify these things ?

Sorry I dont have any pics, havent figured out how to reduce photo size to upload.

Thanks

neighbour helped me with this. sounds like it is harmless enough, just coming from the horse manure that is rotting/rotted in the bed. Dug it out last nite.
