What did I do wrong??? Garlic Pesto?

The whole reason for the selfsufficientish website was to offer a place where anyone can ask, HOW DO I...? So who knows why it has taken us so long to have a HOW DO I? section, but here it is. So if you want to know how to do anything selfsufficientish then here is the place to ask.

I followed the recipe on homepage for wild garlic leaf pesto (yes definitely wild garlic) but it tastes really bitter? I did put flowers and their stalks in too! Was this my mistake???

Def only use the leaves and then get the earliest ones you can as the bigger they get the more bitter they are. I have not made pesto out of wild garlic but use it in cooking/salads and have found this to be the case.
