How do I attach bunny ears to a bike helmet?

The whole reason for the selfsufficientish website was to offer a place where anyone can ask, HOW DO I...? So who knows why it has taken us so long to have a HOW DO I? section, but here it is. So if you want to know how to do anything selfsufficientish then here is the place to ask.

How do I attach bunny ears to a bike helmet?

Post: # 191305Post JillStephens7 »

Hello, OH is taking part in an Easter egg run on his motorbike raising money for various children's projects.

He would like some bunny or dog ears for his helmet but we can't think how to attatch them?

Any ideas?

my little bro used to have a bicycle helmet with monster horns on and they were attached with Velcro pads , i think for safety reasons as it was a kiddy helmet. i think you can probably buy sticky backed velcro online (what cant you buy online!!)

just had a look halfords do some http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165691

The ones that they used to sell were attached with suckers, problem with using stick on velcro is that the glue is supposed to compromise the safety of the helmet shell material
You could make a helmet cover (like the jockey helmet silks) and stich them on to that

All sorted. thanks everyone. He set off to the Wirral early this morning and as we couldn't get hold of velcro or suction cups he waited to he arrived then taped a selection of wee chicks over the top in the style of a mohican. :headbang:

He wants a chicken suit for next year mind you
