Magnolia.

Post: # 18347Post Lou8 »

Does anyone know if you can take cuttings of magnolia?
What is the best way to grow from cuttings - I remember my Dad used to have some stuff called rooting powder - do you need something like that?
Thanks for your help - I'm totally new to this.
My mother-in-law has a beautiful magnolia in her garden and I wondered if it might be worth a try trying to grow me cuttings once flowering is finished.

I caught the end of an old Gardeners' World talking about this... they said it was very difficult but I didn't catch how you did it... Sorry..

Thanks. Maybe I should start with something easier.
