Broccoli salad

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

Broccoli salad

Post: # 189246Post seasidegirl »

Another recipe I tried while working in a health store. Now I'm sitting here waiting for my PSB to be ready I looked it up again. Don't see why it wouldn't work with PSB.

Only thing is when I tried this it wasn't chopped up so much as in the illustration. Hers looks pretty revolting to me. The one I tried still looked like broccoli and tasted lovely.

EDIT: Actually I don't think the one I tried had herbs in either. Just lemon juice, salt and olive oil. Possibly a sprinkle of dried seaweed (as seasoning).

Oh dear I've realised Ive been quite horrible about her lovely blog post and recipe

I expect there are lots of people who WONT think her dish looks revolting but I do like a firm vegetable meself

Thinking back, again, I'm remembering that the lemon juice and salt actually help you to digest the raw broccoli and maybe have to be applied in the right order.

I really should research more before I post. If only out of respect for the broccoli.
