Hullo!!
gosh feel rather shy which most unlike me.....am sure it will wear off..am very pleased to have found this site(ta Shirls!)
I live in Dorset & am lucky enough to have a lovely hubby & utterly enchanting identical twins girls,8 months now & cheeky as the day!Have always been interested in green-ness & grown up with a veggie plot planting Grandad & Dad & decided its about time I started to drain my dad of his knowledge hehehehehehehehe  sooooo hubby has been despached to dig up the bottom of our garden to create 3 veg beds!he is out there now bless better go & make him a cuppa!
Erm what else about me? I am Pagan in my beliefs & try darn hard to *live gently*,have just learnt to knit! I love cooking with good organic ingrediants & being a mum is the best thing thats ever happened to me,I am so happy to be sent these 2 precious little souls & if I can teach em to live gently, see the person rather than the outifit & to challenge things then I will be a happy mummy!

Really looking forward to joining in here & be warned I ask THE daftest questions
Brightest Blessings

Hi Woodmaiden, and welcome to the site!

Don't worry, if you keep posting you'll soon grow out of Margo... We all had to go through that stage and survived  !

If you have two little ones, you'll have plenty of opportunity to practise your knitting - I like knitting kids' clothes, they are finished so much quicker than jumpers for myself... And they are good for using up leftovers from my own stuff.

Swishhhhh! its me! back again! wow thanks for all the hullos!
Shirley the lil ladies have been fabulous today!& Eleanor said dada!! & in fact then shouted dadadadadadadaadada nonstop for an hour & gave me a headache

Today we (as in the royal we...hubbys done all the hard work as I have a hurt back at the mo :? ) have dug up a buddlia & a lavateria shrub thing, cleared out Grandads crumbling old cold frame & small brick composter & cleared alot of ivy in fact this revealed a big gap in the fence which he swiftly filled with an old door hurrah  looks like we have a secret garden now lol! the secret is.....we dont heheheh

To be honest its starting to look & feel just a tad scary...what am I saying a TAD.....ok time for honestly, its starting look VERY flippin scary indeed....I mean I hatched this bonkers idea a few days ago & in true Woody style ie impatient  things have started happening.....
I am having a mini panic...a panickette....
 that
1)nothing will grow
2)everything will grow but be eaten by every marauding bug, snail & slug in the neighbourhood
3)everything will grow, fend off the bugs but I wont have the time to look after it

ah yeah that should get me laying in my bed staring into space in the wee hours.....argggggggg!!!!!!!

Hubbys back out there now,I am supposed to be doing the bottles hehehe the area he has cleared are where the compost doodad is gonna move to,hopefully add another one too so next thing will be to empty the doodad & get the good stuff out, move it & shovel back in the halfway there stuff, ooo yeah I gonna enjoy watching him do that heheheheh!

So thats been our day!! also got rid of some metal ornate bench ends & an ancient hand drill press to the ever fab Freecycle, they were found languishng in the ivy! & I have chopped the things hubby dug up into the smallest pieces I could!

Ged-conversation is never shortcoming with me LOL!!I am thrilled to be here, really thrilled  I know I am gonna learn soooo much & hey! if another newbie comes along I can help em if they need to know how to chop a shrub up LOL!!!
Shiney-hullo! I am in Bournemouth where abouts have you been this weekend?its been glorious weather hasnt it!Look forward to beating you in the Daft Things to Ask Competions!!
Hedgewitch-hullo!I am already having fun!! are you from Dorset too then?its a lovely place, thats another worry...hmmmm will I be spending all summer in my garden & not out & about going places yikes lol!!!

Right better dash!
Brightest Blessings & thanks for letting me share the start of my journey to Ishness!

sob... sniff... you uprooted a buddlia?? I love those.. I would have come and stolen it from you if I had known.... butterfly bushes.. we had about 4 in our garden in Herefordshire and they were covered in butterflies in summer.

I just love the idea of a door in the hedge... I might even steal that idea from you in due course.

A bad back... what sort of excuse is that to keep your old man out there working all day and into the evening too :flower: don't worry.. we won't tell.....

Seriously... what have you done to your back?? Nothing worse than a back problem is there!!

How cute that Eleanor said dada... special moments :D

Awww I know...I dont like uprooting stuff but it had to go! theres still a big one in the other corner so plenty flutterbys be flapping round there dont fret!
Hmmm my back...well I jumped on table wearing socks.....I know...daft thing to do... windmilled my arms to keep from sliding off other side & wrenched back, its a month now & its agony,Dr said its my sacral illiac(sp)??joint & its swollen so its pressing on the sciatic nerve oh great joys  it bally hurts & am on strong painkillers, got a physio app on thurs so hoping they can do/suggest summit!!

Oooo have just been outside & the composter has moved! lovely crumbly scrummy looking earth in a big heap next to one pile of half rotted veg bits lol!!!Hubby is moving the pile of rubble from the old cold frames up to near the house to make some room so can load th wheelbarrow to refill the veggy bits back into the compost doodad!he doesnt mind working in the dark & I am plying him with wine heheheh my leftovers from last night! :drunken:

Mirrors are another nice thing to half hide in hedges & suchlike, obvs not in the sun lol! but it adds space & makes it look like there are hidden bits! Oo I love a few hidden bits loL!
Right off out I go again! Shadow my blackbird is flooting around after his missus again lol!! I call him *mine* cos he lived a whole Winter with a broken wing in the bushes at the bottom, hobbling out to the birdtable every day,he was all puffed up & I really didnt think would make it,but he did & that was 2 Winters ago & hes quite tame now really,he doesnt budge when I hang out the washing,he sits on the trellis thing above my head chattering to me! 8)

Good news with the compost!! And all praise to your man for working into the evening... wine and table dancing to look forward to when he's finished ?

Oohh mirrors too... you have such fab ideas.... can I nick that one too please :flower:

What a lovely story about the blackbird - they are such beautiful birds... ours is singing at the top of his voice again from the highest point in the garden as usual. Spring!!!!

edited to add - don't worry about the mud on the kaftan.. not long til you experience a change

That sounds a bit like a lavatory shrub... What on earth is it?

And don't worry, if you can knit squares, you can knit a jumper: 4 squares, sown together in the right way = one jumper!
