Until I saw the word online I thought this was going to take some massive organisation (and dosh)

I'll be there so long as it isn't a Sat or Sun evening, but how many people can manage to chat in the chatroom at once I wonder?

The hard part I guess is sorting out a date time for those of us in the southern hemisphere, MMM do you have any advice as site admin type person???

well, how many hours ahead of BST/GMT are you?

I'm 7 hours ahead at the moment, but when it changes to GMT I'll be 8 hours ahead.

If we can work on that, then maybe we can work on a good time. It might just ba a 24 hours meetup in the chat room and then everyone has a chance to join.

I think that's a good idea of Fee's to make it a 24 hour meet up. We could have one day when we all try to have a chat with someone - anyone - in the chat room. I've yet to actually meet anyone in there (but have only looked in a couple of times anyway)! So it would probably be a bit busy UK/Europe evening time but those of us in Europe who are around during the daytime or morning would coincide with those in the southern hemisphere anyway.

I can pretty much coincide with anyone at the moment, it all depends on what day, as some days i'm teaching.

If it were a set time, I could pop in most mornings but never in an afternoon. In an evening, I could attend on Mondays or Fridays, and would be around most between 9pm and 11:30pm.

My concern about a 24-hour pop-in would be that it's too big a time slot and people would pop in, see there's no-one there and pop out again. Then the next person would do the same.... Or, they would pop in and find only one person there and feel obliged to stay even when they don't want to, just so that that person isn't on their own!

My suggestion, therefore, is:
Week 1: Monday morning, "Coffee Morning"
Week 2: Monday afternoon, "Afternoon Tea"
Week 3: Monday evening, "Bring a Bottle"
Week 4: Monday night/Tuesday very early hours, "Night Owl"

After that, we start again, but instead of Mondays we do it on a Tuesday, so

Week 5: Tuesday morning, "Coffee Morning", and so on.

An announcement on Ish each week to say when the next get together will be would be a helpful reminder and would advertise it a bit.
Rosey xx

The problem with that is that I am only here in the mornings very early and I'm an hour ahead of you UK guys. But I would co-incide with the down under folks at that time.

Then I come on at lunchtime and that's pretty much it.

Mid morning and afternoon I'm busy doing things outside and evening I'm either watching telly or asleep.
