Soomething to do with cooking apples

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

Soomething to do with cooking apples

Post: # 166011Post Mal »

Don't know if this has a name, but it's something my mum always used to do

Sausage meat (preferably a herby one)
Cooking Apples
Mashed Potatoes
Handful of grated cheese

Put in a dish - meat first, then apples all sliced up, then mash, topped with cheese
Cook at 200 ish, probably for about 40 mins but certainly until the meat is cooked

Yum. Good comfort food, plus, it uses some extra apples, if you're in glut.
