Hello,
We have 3 chickens and they've laid brilliantly since we got them 3 months ago. Last week one of the eggs had a blob (about large pea size) of blood within the egg white of an egg. I've found on the net about blood spots in eggs being normal - but it sounded as though they are usually in the yolk. The yolk of this one was fine. Any ideas ??
Thanks, Jo

Re: blood in egg white
It's nothing to worry about Jo, it happens from time to time.
Just remember that an egg would be a chick embryo if it were fertile, so not surprising really.
Sorry if I put anyone off their breakfast
