We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.
Hi from a very hot southern Spain where we endeavour to make the most of our land at 750 meters on Murcian almerian border. We live cheek by jowl with some strange critters which makes life interesting especially as temperature very high and even the cacti get dug up as a source of moisture for the rabbits. Have olives and almond trees and water so the staples are here.
Found this site while surfing for info on growing rhubarb in these conditions -very helpful thank you very much. May try and grow it where our grey water emerges. Seed planted and germinated in days in my north facing kitchen window.
Last year failed on the swedes stakes but didnt really tackle it correctly.
Have registered as the learning curve is very steep here. Also trying to write about european gardens from a slightly different perspective so guess I will find all sorts of ideas from this forum .
Greetings Suevista
