We've talked about this many times before and the general conclusion from experiences here is do not bother DIYing solar pv, it won't be very good and practically useless in your climate.

Best to invest in german or swiss made panels.
baby-loving, earth-digging, bread-baking, jam-making, off-grid, off-road 21st century domestic goddess....
