I'm afraid most of my ish qualities probably stem from laziness rather than virtue - I can't be bothered to go shopping! I'm really impressed, and feel quite humbled, by the efforts some of you people are making. I will do better.
I live in a small lock keepers cottage, not much garden, just some sloping ground but we have spent the past two weekends making some raised beds to retain some soil for cultivation. Plenty of wild stuff to forage here, my favourite is water cress from the canal - it must be alright I'm not dead yet.
There's an abundance of willow and hazel and I'd like to learn more about using this resource, any suggestions/tips welcome. Basically it is my ambition to become a basket case.
