pickles, bread, jam...

L-R: sliced pickled onions with chilli, green tomato chutney, pickled onions with no chilli and at the front is a little pot of butternut squash and ginger jam. Iprefer it on savoury things, but my mum likes it on sweet stuff.

and what do you get if you cross a home made loaf with a jar of home made bitless jelly?

That all looks delicious!!

And that new hairdo certainly suits Sophie doesn't it? I moaned like crazy at my son when he told me they had had their daughter's lovely long hair cut into a shoulder length bob but that looks much nicer too.
Growing old is much better then the alternative!

she's always had a bit of a pixieish look about her, but since getting the haircut it's increased tenfold lol! I went in to watch her sleeping last night and do her midnight tuck in and it just loked like a fairy had dropped a pixiebaby into my daughter's bed lol!

I've got used to it now. I miss her long hair, but it's now long enough to have bunches or a "pineapple leaf" on top of her head again so I'm happy.
