New Goat Forum

Post: # 132429Post Merlinn »

Hi

Maybe someone can point me in the right direction? I have been looking for a dedicated Goat Forum for sometime, a place to answer all the goat related questions I have. Not finding what I wanted, I have started my own forum. I am based in France, but hopefully any goat keepers in England would contribute.

I am more than a bit technophobic, so trying to put the forum together has been more than a little difficult. But its there, its basic and hopefully people will be able to help me get it sorted.

I need to advertise the site so I thought that SS would be a good place to start. Who do I contact to get permission to advertise my Goat Forum on SS. I dont want to upset anyone by doing the wrong thing!

Many thanks

Good luck with your forum :flower:

To start with you can put a link for your forum on the links page, and a link in your signature.

You could always speak to Andy or John about a proper paid advert.

Thanks Annpan,

Here are the details of the site and also the email address if anyone should need it.

Please remember the site is in its infancy, if anyone has any comments or criticisms about the site, please let me know.

Many thanks

Am about to join :thumbleft: just one comment initially - can we have 'Goats for sale or wanted - UK' rather than England? I'm sure I won't be the only one who doesn't live in England or France

You can write a page advertising your forum (for free) on one (all?) of these French wiki sites.

They're for the ex-pat community and have some good information on them.

Hi Esther.R

I do apologise for putting England instead of UK on the 'Goats for sale and wanted'. Have a look, its been corrected.

Regards

hmm, I'm starting to see the interest in goats, thing is, I'm not going to be here.
As with everything it's just going to have to wait, :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire:
I wonder if anyone knows any ethical goat farms in Hampshire, that will sell a bit of milk?
As I ping from tree to tree I wonder... why do I seem to have transformed into a pinging tree-dwelling thing?
