Oldfella, I've gone and tried it! GreenAura posted a link, and I managed to get the thing to work. I've now listened to a church service from Wales, a concert in Scotland, and my standby BBC World Service. That's the one I've listened on the shortwave for twenty years.
My house is small enough that I can hear the little speaker in my Macbook when I'm in the kitchen. Works fine.
It's not as romantic as listening to the shortwave, or my old tube radio, but, at least I can listen to the radio. And it's still the wireless!
. I usualy have radio 2 on in the car - I like Terry! But I'd really like to listen to plays, stories and interesting discussions as well as some good music. I HATE commercial radio and very "poppy" kind of music - I think I'm getting old!
