Autumn Themed Fancy Dress

Post: # 128766Post growingthings »

My three year olds nursery is having an Autumn party so despite the fact that she is insistant that shes noy dressing up I want to make her something as you can bet that when she goes and sees the other children in their outfits she'll want to join in.

I guess I am trying to avoid the more obvious halloween types.

So far Autumn Foliage
Fireworks
Mushroom/ toadstool - Have a fab idea for that one! (think umbrella!)

So any suggestions would be helpful - cheers

Lorna

I plan on dressing E as a Ladybird for Halloween, all in black and 2 cardboard wings painted red with black dots.

I love the mushroom / toadstool idea  as you can put mostly normal clothes on, with a couple of alterations. I think they are the best outfits for younger (or stubborn) ones.

At least as a toadstool I'm really only asking her to wear a ridiculous hat! A toadstool over a mushroom me thinks, As I know I've got a job lot of red felt around somewhere!

Oh the joys of being the one that 'can' in the family, luckly my Mum is a seamstress, so I can always cry off to her when it is getting a bit hard work!
