kids clothes and mine,step exersizer,plant pot,curtains,duvet covers for tots,baby clothes for my grandaughters,cook books,video`s(yes we still have them)for my tots,jigsaw puzzles(a bit iffy sometimes)wooden snakes and ladders,standard lamp,and a three piece suite in green dralon of which the settee went into my small family room,there the dogs cats and tots play and with throws on it is a bargain, and the chairs to my daughter for her kids,i love browsing,although hubby not keen always worried i`ll put to much into the house,i do declutter alot back to the charity shops too,

Latest find: a pretty little cut-glass creamer, in a lovely gold color. It has a pedestal and looks rather 1920s or early 30s. Am keeping my eye out for more.

I think in our house, I have to look around and ask what HAVEN'T I bought in thrift/charity shops?? I would say that well more than half of everything in and around the house is bought second-hand, some from the above type shops some from other second-hand type outlets (like the Christchurch city council runs a huge warehouse for stuff the people THROW AWAY and you can go in and get the most amazing things for pennies), and there's a large local "trade" in stuff that big companies throw away that the public and other entities can have for free (we have built so much on our farm for nothing but the cost of the hardware - nails and screws and such).

I used to troll garage and boot sales for bits and pieces and came away with very inexpensive collectible things which I can sell on the online auction places for quite a bit of dosh. (Like the Wade Whimseys I bought for 50 cents each and sold for $35 each!) Helps that I have watched Antiques Roadshow since it began more than 30 years ago. But, no time for that anymore... fun while it lasted.

I was looking for a suite for my conservatory for ages. I wanted something very specific but all the ones I saw cost over £800. The local YMCA furniture shop had the perfect suite for £150 in almost mint condition, they delivered it for free within a couple of days and took away a couple of old chairs that I didn't want any more.

The Sue Ryder shops now sell a range of dolls house furniture (for collectors not children). So I spend a small fortune in there as well.

freezer, washing machine, most of our clothes, uranium glass, crochet patterns, wool, books; my best book find being a cookbook produced by the hong kong gas company in the 1960s which s bilingual, english on one page, cantonese on the next. it's soooo cool 'cos where i've got old cookbooks which anglicise foreign recipes, this one takes worldwide recipes and makes them nice for the cantonese palate; something which seems to invariably involve adding ginger or garlic lol!
random kitchenalia. I collect "time saving" gadgets from yesteryear.
