Hello from Bedfordshire

Post: # 121307Post Our Gert. »

Hello everyone, new to this forum lark! I live in a little village in Bedfordshire and I've been gradually developing and extending my veggie patch in the back garden for a few years now. It started as a narrow 4ft strip and now has 6 raised beds (my friends thought I was very strange having timber for my birthday!), fruit cage, asparagus bed and greenhouse. I also put a raised bed aside to grow cut flowers this year too.

I've also kept chickens for the last 3 years, we have 6 at the moment.

Hello Our Gert - welcome to Ish! Raised beds - I envy you. They are still on my "to do" list... (Where they have been for a few years now. )

Hi oldfella, we're in Southill, did a walk around Clophill with the dog a few weeks ago, went up to the old church ruins on top of the hill...spooky!

Lived there so many years ago, it was still a little village, and just googled it up and it looks like a small town now, the small Pub on the village green was where we had our wedding reception and the whole village turned up. :occasion5:
