Skinny leeks!

Post: # 8738Post shiney »

I have skinny leeks.

Thin as can be, what did I do wrong? They have plenty of space between them, they are all looking like 'supermodel' type leeks tho'!

Any suggestions?

 I don't know - should they be ready yet, did you do what it said on the tin... sorry, packet? Perhaps they've only been eating lettuce. Try pouring chocolate sauce on them to fatten em up a bit!

Sorry mate, they don't do much for me so I don't grow 'em. Lack of nitrogen perhaps?

Leeks and choccie sauce...mmmm...that's a new one! I never do what it says on the packet. I plant them and hope! In most of my planting cases, the crop is good.

Nitrogen Nev, what do I need to put on them that has it in it?

I love leeks. Try and get yourself the Cabury's Nitrogen sauce, then  I am the same, actually, plant and hope... Luckily I have great soil. :)

 Eek... Um, perhaps we could rescue the situation by talking about Leek or Leek and Chocolate wine??? Actually that makes me feel a little queasy!!! HE HE OK... maybe we'll get told off, but it's been fun while it lasted.... haven't solved the leek problem, unless of course you find some Nitrogen?!

I must get those chooks Nev! Thanks for the tip on the hen poo.

I have to build a avian flu barrier pen first. That could be an interesting project indeed.
