are you in Scotland? I know the law is different on home ed there from England - where it is not a matter of being granted.. it's your right.

however, if school is teh way for you - start visiting now! nothing like a visit to get a feel for the place and other kids.

Yes I am in Scotland

I have home ed before, so know how to go about. What I meant was the council don't like it here in this particular area and I am using this for my advantage. I have already decided if he can't get into a special school then he stays at home :wink:

i was gonna say its not a matter of wether the council like home ed or not.
education otherwise members used to have access to very good lawyers and barristers (they probably still do, i'm just out of touch).

and the booklet 'school is not compulsory' is fantastic.
